City Recruits for Tourism Committee

The City of Wilsonville is accepting applications until Friday, September 16, 4 p.m., from representatives of the greater Wilsonville-area hospitality and tourism industry to fill a vacancy on the City’s Tourism Promotion Committee. The City seeks to fill the remaining term of Position No.7, which expires June 30, 2018; the position is eligible for re-appointment to a standard three-year-long term.

By charter, the Wilsonville Tourism Promotion Committee is composed of stakeholders in the local hospitality and tourism industry, including representatives of local businesses or organizations engaged in or operating Agri-Tourism, Arts & Culture, Community Events, Equestrian Tourism, Event Facility, General Retail, Lodging, Organized Sporting Events, Outdoor Recreation, Restaurants and Tourism Attractions. Prospective members of the committee do not need to be residents of Wilsonville. Committee members are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by City Council.

Recently, the committee set tentative Fall 2016 meeting dates for Sept. 27, Oct. 27, Dec. 1 and Dec. 8, to be held at Wilsonville City Hall.
