City’s Equitable Housing Strategic Plan Task Force Named, First Meeting on July 17

July 11, 2019  — The first meeting of the City of Wilsonville’s new Equitable Housing Strategic Plan Task Force is scheduled for Wednesday, July 17, 4:30-6:30 pm, at Wilsonville City Hall, 29799 SW Town Center Loop E.

The public meeting provides the City’s project team an opportunity to introduce the task force members, report initial findings from a market analysis currently underway and discuss the project parameters.

Wilsonville is developing an Equitable Housing Strategic Plan, funded in part by a grant from Metro, to provide a clearer path to affordable housing for people of all household compositions, income ranges, ages and life stages.

The Equitable Housing Strategic Plan Task Force is expected to meet at least three times over the next six to eight months to evaluate current data, consider public input, provide technical expertise, and develop policies and strategies to address the gaps in Wilsonville’s residential housing stock.

A growing number of community members are burdened by the region’s lack of affordable housing. The 17-member, volunteer committee represents a broad array of professional expertise in real-estate development, finance, affordable housing, social services and related fields.
