Export.gov is the U.S. Government’s export promotion and finance portal for delivering critical export information and services from across the U.S. Government to small and medium-sized U.S. companies to begin or expand their exporting business. The Portland U.S. Export Assistance Center is a resource available specifically for the Portland metropolitan ````region.

International Export Assistance

The Business Oregon Global Strategies team helps Oregon businesses access global markets to enhance Oregon’s position in the global economy. In cooperation with state, local, and federal partners, Business Oregon helps small and medium-sized Oregon companies become exporters and helps existing exporters access new markets.

Business Oregon offers counseling, market research, evaluation of international partners, and other services to help companies develop and expand their products and services in key overseas markets.

Export Council of Oregon

The Export Council of Oregon is comprised of about 20 business people and government leaders from Oregon and southwest Washington who have expertise in international business matters. They include representatives from private exporting companies, bankers, lawyers, accountants, freight forwarders, and other trade specialists. Members are appointed by the US Department of Commerce based on the individual’s position in the local business community, knowledge of day-to-day international operations, interest in export development, and willingness and ability to devote time to the council at their own expense.

The Federation of International Trade Associations

The FITA Global Trade Portal, is the source for international import export trade leads, events, and links to 8,000 international trade (export / import) related websites.  FITA’s members are dedicated to the promotion of international trade, import-export, international logistics management, international finance, and more.
