Equitable Housing Strategic Plan Task Force Meeting

Calendar Date:
Wednesday, July 17, 2019 - 4:30pm to 6:30pm

The first meeting of the City of Wilsonville’s new Equitable Housing Strategic Plan Task Force is scheduled for Wednesday, July 17, 4:30-6:30 pm, at Wilsonville City Hall, 29799 SW Town Center Loop E.

A growing number of community members are burdened by the region’s lack of affordable housing.  Wilsonville is developing an Equitable Housing Strategic Plan, funded in part by a grant from Metro, to provide a clearer path to affordable housing for people of all household compositions, income ranges, ages and life stages.

The public meeting provides the City’s project team an opportunity to introduce the task force members, report initial findings from a market analysis currently underway and discuss the project parameters.

The 17-member Equitable Housing Strategic Plan Task Force is expected to meet at least three times over the next six to eight months to evaluate current data, consider public input, provide technical expertise, and develop policies and strategies to address the gaps in Wilsonville’s residential housing stock.

The City is seeking to complete the Equitable Housing Strategic Plan for the City Council’s consideration by spring of 2020.
