The city has become the headquarters for several major local and national companies due to its excellent location along I-5. Wilsonville has a strong and growing high-tech cluster of advanced imaging and design firms that include two of the city’s largest employer’s: copier and printer manufacturer Xerox and design software maker Mentor Graphics. Other large businesses include imaging system manufacturers FLIR Systems, Clarity Visual Systems, and Rockwell Collins.

Oregon Institute of Technology (OTI) announced in spring 2010, they intend to consolidate four Portland area sites into the 11-acre former home of InFocus Corporation in the City of Wilsonville. The move could boost school enrollment from about 500 to more than 2,000 students and provide excellent workforce development opportunities.
