The City of Wilsonville contracts with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office to provide law enforcement services to the City. The contract offers the City an economical way to provide police services and allows the City to take advantage of some of the special services that a larger law enforcement agency, like Clackamas County, has available.

The following special services are available to the City on an as-needed, as-available basis:

      » Clackamas County Detectives Division
      » Clackamas County Traffic Team
» Clackamas County Special Investigations Unit
» Clackamas County Hazardous Materials Team

The Wilsonville-Clackamas County contract provides the City with a dedicated Chief of Police, a School Resource Officer, and a Detective, in addition to 15 deputies.

The Wilsonville Police also participates in a Juvenile Diversion Program designed to help at-risk youth. This program provides additional community resources to divert at-risk behavior before it escalates.

Wilsonville Police Chief Nick Watt presented the police department’s 2011 annual report at the April 2 City Council meeting. The report is a recap of activities and service calls in 2011.
