Wilsonville 150 Parade

Everyone loves a parade…
Oregon 150 Parade – Be a Part of History!

2009 is the Sesquicentennial (150th Birthday) of the State of Oregon and Wilsonville has something very special planned!

During the Wilsonville Festival of Arts, May 30th the Community will hold the first parade in decades! We invite you to become a part of history. But hurry! There are only 28 spaces left to play a role in this historic and fun-filled event.

The Parade is organized in decades with each decade from the 1850’s to 2000’s having two entries. We already have school bands, community groups, animals, classic cars and church entries, but we would love more! Pick a decade! Pick a Theme and march along with us as we celebrate Oregon’s 150th Birthday “The Wilsonville Way”.

The Parade will start at the Parker Johnstone Honda Dealership and meander along Memorial Drive past the Parks to end up at City Hall.

Applications to be in the parade are available from the link below, at the Chamber of Commerce/Visitor Center, www.wilsonvillechamber.com or e-mail Jennifer@wilsonvillechamber.com.

All Parade participants will receive a commemorative ribbon for their scrap books. Volunteers are needed as well and will receive a free Oregon 150 T-shirt. Don’t hesitate to call for your application, slots are going fast and everyone is welcome!
