Since 1997, the Finance Department has been recognized annually by the Governmental Finance Officers Association, for producing award level comprehensive annual financial reports. The department has also received the annual award for an outstanding budget document since 1998.
  

The Finance Department is responsible for a number of financial and administrative duties and services. These include: Accounting Administration Business Licenses & Transit Tax Budgeting Debt Management Financial Forecasting Financial Reporting Investments Liens Payables Payroll Receivables Supplies/ Reception/ Phones In addition, Finance oversees Municipal Court, Utility Billing, and the Information Services Departments.
