The City of Wilsonville operates under a Council-Manager form of government. The City Manager assists the City Council in the development and formulation of policies, goals, and objectives, and keeps them informed of important community issues. The position is responsible for translating the City Council's goals into budgetary priorities and representing the City's interests throughout the region and beyond.
Bryan Cosgrove currently serves as Wilsonville's City Manager. Mr. Cosgrove came to Wilsonville, in June of 2011, from Silverton where he had served as City Manager since 2002.
In addition to the City Manager, the Administration Department is comprised of:
- Public/Government Affairs Director - provides the information link for citizens, the business community, and the elected and appointed officials of the City. The Public/Government Affairs Director also serves as a city policy analyst and legislative liaison.
- City Recorder - acts as records manager, archivist, and secretary to the City Council, as well as the Elections Officer for the City.
- Executive Assistant - who serves as secretary to the City Manager.
- Communications Director - Manages the public information, citizen involvement, external relations and issues management communication of the city's policies, programs, and actions to the public.
Citizen concerns, franchise information, copies of the City Code, and requests for general information are just a few of the different types of services that are provided by the Administration Department.
