Willamette River Water Treatment Plant Park

Text Size:Font Size Up Font Size Down

The Willamette River Water Treatment Plant Park was built in conjunction with the City’s water treatment plant on the Willamette River.  This award-winning park was created through a community design process and includes opportunities for education and interpretation.  The site includes a meeting room, interpretive features about the City’s water system, and a beautiful water feature (not intended for water play) that is the park’s focal element.  The meadow in the park is composed of native grasses that have lower water use and require minimal mowing. The Morey’s Landing trail is a significant feature of the park and provides connections to the adjacent neighborhood.

Location:  10350 SW Arrowhead Creek Lane

Size:  9.9 acres

Facilities:  Looped pedestrian path with river overlook, open meadow area planted with low maintenance grasses, water feature and landscaping adjacent to the plant, covered picnic table adjacent to building. Interpretive signage provides educational information regarding the treatment plant and the meadow.
