Budget Committee

Each spring the Budget Committee meets to review and recommend a budget for the City's next fiscal year.

Development Review Board

The Development Review Board is responsible for making decisions regarding development proposals. When the city receives a land-use application, it is assigned to one of the two DRB panels, which then conducts hearings and renders decisions on all aspects of that application.

Economic Development Advisory Committee

As a component of creating a Wilsonville economic-development strategy, the City is moving forward with “part two” of the process. The first phase, guided by a committee of community and business leaders, established key elements of the strategy and set a timeline for a number of further processes and tasks to be accomplished.

The second phase, also to be guided by a citizen task force, initially focuses on defining characteristics of businesses and economic sectors that would provide the greatest community benefit for potential retention/recruitment activities by the City; and then seeks to determine what kinds of financial incentives, if any, and under what circumstances the community would support, that encourage the retention or recruitment of these kinds of businesses.

The task force would meet over the next six months starting in October, with a goal of providing recommendations to the City Council in February 2013. For more information, contact Mark Ottenad, Public/Government Affairs Director, at 503-570-1505; ottenad@ci.wilsonville.or.us.

The City of Wilsonville has retained the economics consulting firm ECONorthwest to help develop an economic-development strategy.  As an integral component of this process, the City has formed an Advisory Committee composed of leading community members and business managers who will help guide the process and make a recommendation to the City Council. The committee is composed of public- and private-sector leaders invested in Wilsonville who are ‘opinion-setters’ and wear multiple ‘hats.’

Library Board

The Library Board is responsible for recommending policies for governing the library, recommend an annual budget to the City Manager, proposing fundraising programs and activities to the Council for Library purposes, and making an annual report to the State Library and City Council.

Parks & Recreation Advisory Board

The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board acts as a channel for communication between the general public and municipal administration. The Board takes the initiative in planning present and future parks.

The City is accepting applications for a vacancy on the Board to fill an unexpired term which will end December 31, 2015. The application deadline is June 18, 2013 at 4:30 p.m.  Applications can be found online, or one can be sent to you by calling or emailing the City Recorder at 503-570-1506, king@ci.wilsonville.or.us

Planning Commission

Planning Commission is responsible for making recommendations to the City Council on all legislative land-use and planning matters. This could include plans for the regulation of future growth and development in Wilsonville, plans for the promotion of the industrial, commercial and economic needs of the community and the study of measures that promote the public health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the city.

Wilsonville Community Seniors, Inc.

The Wilsonville Community Seniors, Inc. is an independent organization whose members are elected by the participants at the Community Center. They provide recommendations and direction for the operation of the Senior Programs as well as funding for ongoing recreational activities and classes.

Urban Renewal Agency

The mission of Wilsonville's Urban Renewal Agency is to eliminate blight in areas within the Agency's jurisdiction and, in the process, to attract aesthetically pleasing, job producing private investments that will improve and stabalize property values and protect the areas's residential livability and its environmental values.   The Agency is comprised of the five elected City Council members, with the City Manager acting as the Executive Director.  Agency meetings are held as necessary, and typically are held the same night as the Council meetings and immediately follow the City Council meetings.
