Youth Programs strive to make a difference in the lives of our community’s children. The City employs and contracts with, highly-trained, professional staff and volunteers who embrace quality and establish high standards for the effective delivery of recreational and educational services for boys and girls ages 3 – 18.
Year round recreation programs provide a place where kids belong, and where they can come together to play and socialize in a safe and caring environment. Preschool aged children can learn everything from sports, to arts, to dance. Elementary and middle school aged children have the opportunity to learn safety in Babysitters Training and When I’m in Charge classes, as well as, art, fencing, and various horse related classes.
Throughout the school year the Community Center hosts middle school dances open to Wood Middle School students, Pacific Northwest Academy Middle School students and home schooled students living in Wilsonville.
Summer is an exciting time with numerous camps and special programs for children of all ages. Skyhawks Sports Academies, Coach Nics Basketball, and Oregon Fencing Alliance offer week long summer sports camps for children. The summer time is also a great time to check out a Music, Art, Dance, or Pony class/camp.
The City of Wilsonville’s recreation division is also home to the Mini Hoopers Basketball Program. This program is open to 1st and 2nd graders and takes place during November and December.
