Wilsonville Library offers credit for food
Posted Date: 2/2/2010
The Wilsonville Public Library is offering its users the opportunity to reduce or eliminate library overdue fines during the month of February by bringing in cans or boxes of food.

Each can or box will be worth a 50 cent credit on overdue fines, subject to the approval of library staff. All food will be donated to Wilsonville Community Sharing for the assistance of needy area families. Please check expiration dates carefully! The food bank cannot accept or use expired food.

Here's what we can use:
Unopened cans, jars, and boxes of non-perishable food, including:

*canned meat or fish
*boxed and canned meals
*cereal, both hot and cold (Wilsonville Community Sharing said they need this the most)
*chili, soups or stews
*pastas, beans, grains

Please, no Ramen.

The library thanks the community for its generosity. If you have further questions, please call 503-682-2744.
