Wilsonville police offers are taking serving the public to another level this holiday season by purchasing and delivering food and gifts to a local family.
Officer Ryan Burdette collected $165 from his fellow officers at the Wilsonville Police Department. The amount was used for supplying a full Christmas meal with ham and all the trimmings and $40 in gifts for a four-year old girl and 10-year old boy.
Officer Burdette and Officer James Keen delivered the items on Dec. 21 just in time for Christmas.
“We worked with Grace Chapel Church and found a good faith family in need,” said Burdette. “This is how we build strong ties in the community. It is good for kids to see us providing a positive experience.”
